Online home for Kendal Vision

Kendal Futures, the private/public sector regeneration partnership, has launched a new website to provide a digital home for the Kendal Vision.

Kendal Futures published the Kendal Vision in March 2020, with funding from several of the town’s major employers, landowners and private sector businesses.  It followed an intensive process of engagement with local people and is a call to embrace change, new ideas and innovation and inspire a vibrant and successful future for Kendal.

The website was developed by local firm, Designworks, and also enables Kendal Futures to showcase the work of their Board and includes news updates and a place for the group to publish meeting minutes and other reports, plans and documents affecting Kendal.

Mark Cropper, Chair of Kendal Futures, said: “The Vision’s new home means it is accessible to the local community who helped to develop it and who, we hope, will also play an important part in progressing its ideas.

“We’ll continue to use the website to record our ongoing progress with projects as they develop.”

Kendal Futures is currently seeking additional funding support and resources to enable it to set up a small number of Action Groups to focus on developing some of the key themes identified in the Vision.  This will enable the public and existing specialist groups and organisations to get involved in developing the Vision’s aspirations.

The Vision and other information about the work of Kendal Futures can be found on www.kendalfutures.co.uk.  Hard copies of the Vision can also be requested via the website’s contact page.
