MEETING MINUTES

We publish our meeting minutes for the Kendal Futures Board
and Kendal Futures CIC.

The Vision was preceded and informed by two earlier action plans which identified Kendal's challenges.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Funding & Finance

SOUTH LAKELAND DISTRICT COUNCIL

SLDC part fund the role of our General Manager and provide a desk and admin support. In 2021, they agreed to provide £50k for 3 years to fund the role of our Vision Manager to develop Action Groups, and an additional £135k has been provided to support project development and studies.

KENDAL TOWN COUNCIL

The Town Council part fund the role of our General Manager as well as several projects to benefit the town.

SOUTH LAKELAND LOCAL COMMITTEE

Cumbria County Council's Local Committee part fund the role of our General Manager.

PRIVATE SECTOR PARTNERS

The Kendal Vision was funded by several of the town's private sector businesses and employers. Read the Vision for full details.

Remit & Interests

Securing Kendal’s focus success and prosperity includes:

COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Investing in Kendal

Formed in March 2019, the Kendal Futures CIC undertakes activities to benefit Kendal, its local community and visitors. Any surplus funds from this not-for-profit company will be reinvested in town projects.  The voluntary CIC Directors are Mark Cropper, Jamie Allison, John Haley, Noel Farrer and Tina Dulson.
