Kendal Vision Progress Update – January 2024

Standstill cars on Highgate, Kendal

Kendal Futures is holding a Kendal Vision progress update event and members of the public and local businesses are invited to attend.  The community can drop in to view the exhibition and/or attend a progress presentation.

Wednesday 17th January 2024
Assembly Room
Kendal Town Hall

Exhibition open: 1.30 pm – 8.00 pm
Progress presentation: 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm

The team will discuss the outcomes of a specialist study offering ideas to improve movement around the town for everyone – people, cyclists and vehicles – in the long term.  The exhibition will also remind the town about the designs and proposals to improve Market Place, the Market Hall and Kent Street following the successful award of £13.5 million from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund.

The views of 2000 local people were vital in developing the Kendal Vision so join us to fund out what’s happened since our 2022 Vision progress update event.

The Kendal Vision was published in March 2020, and a lot has changed since then.  Kendal Futures is working its partners, including Westmorland and Furness Council and Kendal Town Council to progress the aims of the Vision.
